I have 10gb of ram installed but only 2gb are usable

I have just installed windows and all its updates and updates for my Mobo and graphics card and in order to install windows on to my pc in the first place i had to remove my 8gb ram stick and replace it with a 2gb and it worked while with the 8gb it just kept freezing nad rebooting. But now that everything is all set up i tried to put my 8gb as well as my 2gb and it shows both instaleed giving me a total of 10gb. Here are pictures of it showing 10gb and only 2gb usable and the rest being "Hardware reserved"
Please help

i tried using just the 8gb in every slot and nothing happens
