Hi everyone,

I have not build a computer for a few years but I decided to build one for the living room.
To give you a few idea of my skills : I have a degree in computer science (coding) and a bachelor in engineering and I work as a maintenance manager.

Here is the list of parts :
Case: Thermaltake Core V1 Mini ITX Tower Case
CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core Processor
Motherboard: EVGA Stinger WiFi Mini ITX LGA1150 Motherboard
Case: Thermaltake Core V1 Mini ITX Tower CaseMemory: G.Skill 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3-1333 Memory (Recycled from unused computer)
Storage: Mushkin ECO2 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (not received so using an old 200gb sata matrox from unused parts)
Power Supply: OCZ StealthXStream OCZ600SXS 600W ATX12V (Recycled from unused computer)

I connected everything and nothing is working. Only the power led with light up on the motherboard. Nothing on the temperature/error code display.
I also connected a fan to a molex connecter and it's not turning.

Before building this PC, I tested the PSU on the old computer and the fans were spinning, so at that point it was working.

I also inverted the ram and tested both in single slot mode.
I disconnected the old hard drive and nothing.

I plan on removing all the parts and testing the power supply only with a molex fan (I think I need to short-cut the motherboard connector).
And everything back from the CPU and up.

But if anyone have any idea or tips on something I could test easily first, I am open to any help !

Solution
Stupid thing on my side. It's an "18" inch problem.

Once I put the power-supply at on and the case, I also had to press the power-button on the motherboard and it started :)

I endup not being able to install anything cause one of my memory was incorrect. Or it's a compatibility problem with the motherboard. I purchased 2x4gb of Kingston 1600mhz and it's working fine now.
If standoffs are in the right spots (not shorting the board) and both 24 and 8 pin power cables properly connected, try starting the PC by shortly touching with a screwdriver the 2 pins on the motherboard where the case power button gets connected. If still no go, then yes, try starting the board outside the case, only CPU and CPU fan installed. See if the CPU fan does spin.
