I had my pc idling on Steam big picture. I left the room for a few minutes and when I came back my computer was off and attempting to start. It's winding up and then cutting out before even the bios loads.

I've reset all connections. Reset my ram. Also I cleared cmos by both battery and jumper.

It's a self made rig with the following guts:

Ga-H97-d3h MoBo
Intel i7 4790k 4GHz
George gtx 750 ti
Evga 600b psu
Hyper 212 evo heat sink
Os windows 7 home premium upgrade from vista.
On WD Caviar Blue
Seagate barracuda 1 tb slaved.

I have had it up and running smoothly for the last 6 months. I left it to idle and it started this boot loop which doesn't reach bios screen. Help?

disconnect all but one ram module if you have more than one, disconnect your HD and GPU then plug the display onto your motherboard. for sure you have on board graphics and see if you get a post.

ok well the reason we did that is too see what part of the computer may be malfunctioning. if the ram, GPU and HD are out and it still doesnt post there may be a problem with your PSU, motherboard or CPU. if you have a friend who can let u test out your parts in his rig that would be a big help in determining where the malfunction is.
