Do I need to put standoffs in this case?

First I want to say thank you for reading my question. This community is really helpful. :)

I fried my mobo and CPU because of some screw roaming freely in my case and I think it shorted my mobo. Now I bought a new case and mobo. It is own its way. Details are below:

Motherboard: Asus M5A97 RE 2.0
Case: Circle CC 830 (Copy of Aerocool GT-A Black Edition)

The problem is that I don't know that do I need to put standoffs or not in this case because this time I don't want to take any chance. I think m5a97 has 9 standoff holes or maybe 6 but that case also has 9 raised parts like standoffs (you know what I am talking about). Here is the picture of the side view of case (zoom and you will see those raised parts.) So what I need to do now? Thanks for helping me as always.

if the standofs came with the ase than you need them, but do it like this... set IO shield on the case, if the IO and mobo go in perfectly, no standofs, if it doesnt, put standofs :D the case is designed to only one way and that is the right way... :)

Are there any specific types of screws which are used to tighten the mobo with case?
