I'm about to seal a deal on a Dell optiplex 7020 small form factor with a core i5 and the owner would even throw in some ram for me. So I wanted to get the most powerfull low profile card and I found some retailers in my country that sell the KFA2 GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB OC and the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750Ti (GV-N75TOC-2GL) LP.

The whole pc is pretty power efficient and so is this GPU but the minimum requirement on the Nvidia website is 300Watt but I heard somewhere that it may be exaggerated a but and this psu is 80+ bronze. So can I run the card and everything else together? Also which card is recommended? I thought Gigabyte would be better but the KFA2 had good reviews.

Hi,

Do you know what the maximum wattage of the power supply is? If you dont then if you ask the seller or take the side panel off the PC you should get an answer. It most likely has a 350 Watt or more PSU in in. That will be fine to run the 750 Ti. I would recommend getting either the Gigabyte card , the MSI card, or the EVGA one. The best 750 ti is the EVGA FTW ACX Cooler one but it is also the most expensive and draws 85 Watts from the PSU at full load. It also requires 1 6pin PCI power connector whereas the other 750 Ti models dont.

Its your choice which card you get but before you choose, make sure you check your PSU cause there is nothing worse than buying a GPU, getting it in your system then your PSU cannot handle it! :)

Where did you hear that?

A 290x can peak at ~360w. More if you overclock.
