Looking for a 3TB HDD where i can store my movies, games, pictures and have my PC backup on. I'm looking for one that lasts long(one that doesn't die after the warranty ends), is quiet and has good/great read speeds.

That's the kind of answer i wanted, i didn't know which brand or if it was WD, what kind of color is used for specific things.

What are the blue ones and red ones used for?

Altough it looks like i will get one 3TB black and 3TB green, thanks!

The Blue is a regular consumer grade drive. But tops out at 1TB. The Black is more performance oriented (games) and goes larger. But isn't 'silent'.
The Green is more for just storage and backup. Supposedly, it spins down to conserve power, hence the label 'Green'. I just bought 2 WD Greens yesterday, specifically for backup purposes. 3TB each.
The 'power saving' may only be a couple dollars a year, though. Not enough to worry about.

And, I found out yesterday, BestBuy does price matching with Amazon. Saved $10 each, and got it immediately, instead of waiting until Tuesday for Prime shipment...;)
Normally I don't shop at bestbuy, but I was driving by and....

WD BLACK SERIES 3 TB .. is your best choice mate.
In 3TB range you have no Blue RPM 7200 .. But you can get Caviar Green 5400 RPM, Caviar Black 7200 RPM, Red & Red Pro 7200 RPM for 24/7 use and Purple 5900 RPM.

Green: Cool, quiet operation with massive capacity.
Black: Maximum performance for power computing.
Red: Small Office/Home Office/Medium to Large Size Business/high-availability deployments
Purple: office or small business surveillance/systems using unlimited cameras/enterprise surveillance systems
Datacenter: custom ranging from some of the largest corporations in the world (Big Servers)

I told ya WD because I did deal with this company for more than 8 years with no problems at all.
