I need to know if I can fit these two cards onto my motherboard.

I am building a new PC and was wondering if I could put two Asus 980 Poseidons and water cool them without having any issues space wise. I was only concerned because I will be using a Asus Maximus VII Gene and the slots looked a little close.

The cards will fit on your motherboard.

What are you trying to accomplish?

You have a compact motherboard, so I imagine you are looking at a compact case.
That creates a problem when trying to also install a radiator for liquid cooling.

Then, I think you would be better off if you bought evga hydrocopper cards which already have liquid cooling blocks.

Past that, why not buy a TitanX? It will cost less and you will avoid heat, power and dual gpu issues.

FWIW, I also have the maximus VII gene, and I find it to be top quality.

Well I want to get the Parvum Systems S2.0 extended. I will have a 360mm rad up top and a 240mm rad in the front. and I see your point with the titan x. Also I feel that the Hydro Copper is ridiculously overpriced. So I will get a titan x and add a ek waterblock. thanks.

The Parvum Systems S2.0 is a case I have not seen before. Looks good

If budget is an issue at all, I suggest using the titanx stock blower cooler and a 4790K with a decent air cooler.
The money you save on all the liquid cooling parts will go a fair way to adding a second titanX.
I doubt that a second card would help any games short of running on a 4k monitor.
And, a 4790K runs at 4.0/4.4 stock. How much more would be really useful?
Even if you got a golden chip that ran at 4.6?

I think I might wait and see about 2 980ti and go with your idea. I wouldnt be supried if I could get a aftermarket cooler on one of those.
