Suggestions on how to set up keyboard for couch PC gaming?

I have an XBOX 360 controller and I've been able to play my Steam games in big picture mode on my 60" tv. It's great! My only complaint is occasionally I'll run into situations where I have to use the keyboard for games with partial controller support. I'd rather not get up and go to my PC to use the keyboard every time. I want to get a wireless keyboard, preferably one like the Logitech wireless touch K400 that includes a track-pad for a mouse. But if I get that, would I have to disable my regular current mouse and keyboard every-time I want to sit on the couch and play games? Is there a way I can just have all connected at the same time? I'm trying to accomplish this as easily as possible.

I sometimes like to lay in bed and watch anime so I got a Logitech K400r and it works perfectly fine with all my other devices plugged it. There really shouldn't be and issue with multiple keyboards because they're not all being used and activated at the same time.
