Hey guys please help me out. Recently there had been a power failure in our area. And since than i am facing various problems with my pc which was in sleep mode during the incident. I used to get 30+ FPS in ACU with ultra presets and 70+ with low presets. But now i get 15-20 FPS no matter whichever preset i choose. So its 15-20 in ultra and 15-20 in low; nothing changes. And sometimes i even get a huge sluttering getting me only 1 FPS. I thought its a problem with my gpu. But there is other problems like sometimes apps not responding specially chrome which normally didn't happen, videos taking time to load and play, nothing responding if i leave my pc idle for a few minutes , taking time to boot up etc. You all know GTA V is coming in 3 days. And now i have problems which leaves my pc half dead, and with it, me too. So please help me as you people always do. Thanks..........

Maybe there is a problem with ur hardrive/ssd. Seeing everything is taking ages to load. Im not sure though. You can reinstall your gpu drivers too..

I thought it too but when i move some files from one drive to another it seems normal. So I'm not sure if it's a hdd problem. What do you think?

If you don't have lagg when you move the game to an other drive, then yes. Then one of your hard drives might be the problem.

No you didn't understand. When i said ' It seems normal ' i meant the copying speed of the file was normal. You know, no slow transferring rate and what not. So it seems that it is not a hdd problem. Again when today i put my old gpu there, it also lags in ACU which it previously didn't do to that extent. So mybe it's neither a gpu nor a hdd problem. So what that might be?

Do a stability test. Like aida64. And test the stability of your cpu.

So i just confirmed that my gpu is not damaged using fraps to count fps. Its also like the 970, 4-5 in ultra and 4-5 in lowest. So what remains is my cpu and ram and mobo. So how can i check if my cpu is culprit? Is there any good software for that? And what results would i get if it is damaged?

Get aida64. And run a stabilitytest. Make sure you checked ram and cpu (an fpu i beleave). When it is unstable it will say, and it will stop testing.

What did you mean by it? I know my ram and cpu. It's i5 4690k paired with 8 gigs of ram. Is that what you meant?

No i meant to test the cpu, fpu and ram in the stabilitytest. You can enable that in the test. Sorry, i was a bit unclear.

No, if you was anything i would say that being helpful. Anyway i ran the stability test with everything checked except the gpu stress and my pc hanged in just 1.5 hours and stayed beyond responding. I had to restart my pc. I heard if your pc survives 12 hours in aida64, its stable. But mine did only 1.5 hours. Does it means i got some problems in my cpu?
