Hello,

I have a Dell XPS 12 Ultrabook currently running Windows 8 and I am trying to downgrade to Windows 7 because the laptop just just stays at the Windows 8 loading screen and keeps on turning continuously without ever loading the OS, I tried restarting 4 times but never brings me to recovery partition, it doesn't do anything so I decided I want Windows 7.

I made a bootable USB of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit using Rufus and an ISO from Digital River (when they still hosted the ISOs) - In Rufus the partition is set to MBR for UEFI / BIOS and the filesystem is set to NTFS, There is no option for GPT partition, I am making this bootable media using Rufus on a Windows XP PC.

I press F12 to access boot options, and under LEGACY I select USB flash drive, Everything goes fine and it loads the files and everything but then it gets stuck at a black screen with a white mouse cursor where it should really be at the first part of the setup (Language etc)

Any suggestions are appreciated
Thanks
