WiFi signal very weak and always disconnecting

I've switched over to Time Warner Cable 2 weeks ago and I've been having this issue since. To connect to the WiFi I HAVE to be close to the router to connect. Trying to connect anywhere in my house is impossible , I have to be by the router

Once I connect and move to somewhere else the connection drops after being connected for around 5-10 minutes and sometimes less

Anyone know what I can do to fix this? Any help is appreciated. It occurs on all my devices as well

EDIT: Ive tried changing plenty of the router settings to no avail

Could a router signal booster do the trick

What is your router? If it's one of the combo modem/routers usually given by providers, they usually suck at wifi.

Kane gave you some good advice ;)

Basically you just shut off the wireless on the TW router, and set up another router as an access point, letting it do the wireless part of your network.
