just bought ASRock Z97E-ITX motherboard.

trying to do a fresh install.
using win 7 ultimate service pack 1. x64
only components connected is: 1 fan, cpu, ram 16 gb, 750 w powersupply, 1 standard mouse, 1 standard keyboard and a 750 gb WD 7200 rpm 64 cache disc.

the MB bios drivers are updated.

after installation of win 7 I try to install the MB drivers that came along with it. I can not install the drivers for USB 3 cause when I do the mouse and keyboard stops to respond (without the drivers for USB 3 the usb ports only uses USB 2 speed)

the same thing happens if I try to install the graphic drivers. after installation the computer restarts and keyboard and mouse stops working. have tried every usb port and tried finding anything in bios to turn of but no effect.

I have to login to safe mode to uninstall the drivers for usb 3 and for graphic to get the mouse and keyboard to work. (keyboard and mouse works in safe mode but usb 3 drivers and graphic drivers are not active there)

I use 1 HDMI cable to my computer screen and have no extra graphic card.

new drivers downloaded from webpage does not help.
I have both tried this way:
install win 7 than drivers = problem
install win 7 than all windows updates than drivers = problems

I also tried win 7 professional x64.

I have tried different mouse, keyboard, other HDD, tried changing the rams. tried most things.

anyone have a solution for this strange problem?

Solution
This may seem silly, but I had the same problem happen to me but with a different AsRock board. In the Bios, try setting Legacy support for the USB 3. This strangely worked for me. (maybe you already tried)

Now you also say that the Discrete graphics drivers causes issues? If you can, download an older version of the driver specific to your OS.

If all fails to work, I would seriously consider looking at another board, maybe this one might be defective?
