hello guys..i am countering a weird problem with csgo...i am playing at stable 60-80 fps with the lowest settings but still, when flash or smoke dropped down or when i am shooting, something called var(i used the command net_graph 1 to check it) jumps from 0.5ms to 15-20ms and i have hard stuttering that i cant play...do you know how and if i can fix this?tried everything and i have driven crazy all this time
specs:
windows 7 ultimate 64-bit sp1
cpu:intel core2 quad cpu q6600 @ 2.40ghz,
ram:6GB @800mhz
gpu:AMD Radeon HD 5570

Solution
Hey there,
Have you tried turning AA to a higher setting. Also try turning on vysnc as this should stable your fps at 60. Go to your GPU control panel and change settings to performance instead of quality. Hope this helped.

its not that my fps is bad because i dont have up and drops on fps..i have something called var that goes to 15ms..maybe the delay of the game?idk what is it

Yes, although AA changes the performance (probably not even 3% fps change), its worth to try different AA as it smooths things out including grenades and shooting as this uses more RAM. I will look up Var for you now.

Well this is what I found out:
Go to task manager and set priority to high on CS GO as this will increase fps and will run it 'better' as you are dedicating more RAM and processes to it. AA will smoothen things out and will not affect performance.
Many people have also said its not the GPU's fault but the actual game. A lot of people have had this problem and they think its the game. If you want to have a look at the same problem you have with the VAR go to - http://www.hltv.org/forum/640698-stuttering-fps-drops-quotsvquot-and-quotvarquot-spiking
I hope this kind of helped :)
