Is i5 4690k + r9 280 crossfire good combo?

I currently have an fx-6300 and a single r9 280 but i wanted to get an i5 4690k and a msi z97 motherboard. also later i want to get a second r9 280. I just wanted to know if this was a good combonation.

Intel's C states are just the chips very low power usage when you're not using it. Can you believe that some PSU's does not support it? Anyway, the power supply that you mentioned should be good. The motherboard that you chose is good as well. As long as it's a Z97 chipset motherboard, overclocking is achievable lol. Have fun my friend!

Just make sure you get a good 750w power supply before you get the second gpu.

Also you should make sure whatever mobo you get is capable of 8x / 8x crossfire.

The second slot running at 4x in cf can cause issues.
