I have configured a custom Gaming desktop pc and was wondering if anyone thinks I should go to x99 vs this configuration AND/OR change any of the features selected. Thanks so much! IS IT OVERKILL? So far all of the parts have been ordered EXCEPT for the monitor(s)... I really want something that has G-Sync and one of my favorite monitors is coming out with a new variant in 4 weeks so I'm uncertain if I should wait on purchasing.... Should I even bother with G-Sync or get something better for the price difference?

Right on! Thank you for reassuring me. I was wondering if this would be overkill but I think it's just right. The x99 is very appealing as well but I don't think it's worth the price right now for DDR4 and the mobo selection is limited - even if you can afford all of the options currently out.

Plus kinks and huge price differences with x99 and ddr4.

Please select best answer if I helped you tonight!

Damn! One hell of a machine. My wallet is screaming just from looking at your part list!

It'll definitely suit you as blue_smoke said. I don't know of a single game out there that you couldn't max out well above 60fps along with HD texture packs, ENB, etc.

Right on KT and thank you for your feedback!

What do you guys think about the monitor selection?

That's a concern of mine as I want the best bang for the buck but also want to utilize G-Sync.... even if it meant going to a single monitor that kicked butt.

Those are the only components not paid for yet.

Also, this system costs just under $3k with single loop liquid cooling w/ radiator etc, so it's not horrendous. You shoudl have seen my first attempt - two Samsung 850 Pro 1GB SSD's in RAID 0 - absurd! I decided that was crazy and I should go with the dual GPU's.

I am concerned about the motherboard not being able to run both GPU's at 16x/16x.... am I mistaken and if not what mobo should I get without worrying about the Time Clock flaw.... I do prefer ASUS mobos due to OC capabilities and advanced features... I also need a minimum dual-band A/C wifi chipset.

And I'm still on the fence with monitors.... I don't have an interest in adopting 4k yet and would prefer a dual or even tri screen solution.
