@RobWHS,
What are you talking is pure nonsense. Motherboards DO NOT NEED a BIOS UPDATE to RUN A VIDEO CARD!.
Video cards are PLUG AND PLAY! Only problems that can arise are broken PCIe slot, broken card or insufficient power. You can even plug PCIe 3.0 cards in PCIe 1.0 slot.
That is how it is.
Now back to the question.
1 - With what card are you running now?
2 - Are you running an integrated GPU right now, the GMA 3100 on the motherboard?
3 - Did you check your BIOS options to see if you switch your primary graphics adapter to PCIe?
4 - Are you sure you plugged the cable into the graphics card and not in the motherboard when you installed it?
right now im running with the integrated GPU, the GMA 3100
and yes i checked the bios to chose the pci express slot...and i tried the gpu and vga but i didn´t received signal...
i will borrow and 512 MB gpu from a friend to check if the pci slot work...
