What NVIDIA Graphics card to pair with Core2Quad Q9650 for Gaming

My current righ has an ASUS 775 motherboard w/ a Core2Duo processor and i'm planning to upgrade it with a Core2Quad 9650 together with a 4GB ram, a power efficient psu that can accomodate the cpu and gpu's TDP and has enough headroom.

What NVIDIA card should i pick that will not bottleneck the Q9650 for gaming? This is a home pc so i'm not the only using it and my brother will start getting basic rendering lessons this year so i need a card that will also accomodate with those usage.

Don't go for such a config. The core 2 quad will be powerful, but an i3 will be just as powerful and cheaper. Who knows, you could fit an i5 in the same amount of money. Not to mention the max amount of RAM you could install will be 4 GB, whereas you could install upto 16 GB on even a cheap H81 motherboard with a Haswell i3. 4GB is not enough for today's games. You'll just end up disappointed with your CPU and RAM.
