I recently bought an asus rt-ac51u and i can't get any internet connection. I have fiber connected modem and already a router installed. The new router is set to automatically set up a WAN IP but in the information about the wan connection it has the ip 0.0.0.0. is this because of that i have two routers on one modem?

It greatly depends on what you ISP allows and what the device you call a "modem" actually is. In most cases the ISP will give you only a single routable IP address unless you pay them extra. This generally means you can only have a single router attached to a modem.

I am going to bet since you are not getting a IP address the ISP has some restriction. You are likely going to have to remove the current router and find a way to hook up your new one. The details on this will greatly depend on how your ISP has things done. The simplest case you can turn off the old one and hook up the new one, power cycle the modem and the router and it will work.

If they have it locked by mac address or they have PPPoE requirements then...
How are you connecting two routers to a single modem? They normally only have a single jack. If you mean you replaced the old with new, then probably need to power off the modem for several minutes then reboot. Might even need your ISP to send a reset signal.

I have three lan ports. One port is for the existing router, the second is for the new router(before it was connected to alarm service) and the third slot a ip telephone connector.
