Hello. I recently upgraded my PC's GPU, from a GTX 660 to a GTX 970. I have an FX-6300 and 8GB RAM. Ever since I've upgraded, my PC seems alot slower. I try to play CS:GO and it either crashes on launch and freezes, forcing me to restart my PC or stutters like crazy while playing. If it crashes, it also leaves my CPU at 100% for about 5 minutes. Also, Dying Light runs perfectly fine until I quit. If I try playing it later on without a PC restart, it will also stutter horribly. I also cannot play Farcry 4 because the stuttering is unbearable, despite 40-50fps on Ultra. I've even tried the lowest graphic settings for all these games. My drivers are up to date, I've checked almost everything but it just does not seem right. Any ideas what's wrong?

Thank you.

Wipe it.
It doesn't matter if you wipe the drivers or do any of that crap NVIDIA tells you to do when upgrading a GPU.
Whenever you get significantly new hardware, like if you were to upgrade to a FX-8350 and 16gb ram, you have to wipe your pc so it's optimal settings and performance are based on different components.

Yes. Brand new OS and driver install should fix it.

Could you please elaborate - how would it fix the problem?
