Hey there Krithi and welcome to the community!

I'm truly sorry to hear that you're having issues with your drive. First, you should try the basics: try the drive with a different USB cable (not longer than 12") and try it with a different computer, to see if the same thing happens. If the drive gets recognized, I'd suggest that you backup your important data as soon as possible. If it's still not recognized, then you could try if you can access it via Linux Live CD/USB to see if it's detected properly and if you can backup your data this way. If that doesn't work as well, you could try some of the data recovery options listed in this thread here: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-1644496/lost-data-recovery.html.
Usually weird sounds/noise might be an indication of physical damage, so your best and most reliable solution remains a data recovery company: WD Data Recovery Partners.
Just for your information, here's an article on HDD sounds/noises: How to tell if the noise or sound the drive is making is normal
Please don't use any diagnostic tools on the drive until you're able to recover your data, because in cases like this one, all the time that the drive is ON, should be used for data recovery in order to prevent further damaging the HDD by running scans and tests.

Hope that helps. Let me know how everything goes.
