Depends on how you intend to game.
If you're sticking to 1080p then the 7970 will probably last you a couple more years, but you may have to turn down some graphical tweaks to get smooth gameplay.
If you're aiming for 1440p, then forget about it. You need a GTX 970/980 or R9 290X.
