Lag(ping) spikes in every game every few seconds.

Hello everyone, im experiencing serious lag spikes in every game, every 30 seconds or so. my fps stay at 100+ all the time, but the ping goes from 50 to 1500 in a second messing everything up. i doubt it has to do with my build since its not the fps that is dropping.

my build
pentium g3258
r9 280x tri x
asus z97a
750w gold psu
8gb ddr3 ram

wireless, but we just switched routers, and the problem stays, do you think it is the providers problem?

i would 1st disconnect the router and try direct modem to computer connection over Ethernet to eliminate wireless and router from the picture
