Hi guys!
So, some time ago I've got this random shut down of my pc. Some times I could use it for hours without problems and other times I couldn't even turn it on that it was already off again (only unplugging the psu and wait some time would do it). After much trial and error I found out that slightly touching the PCI-e cable (on the psu end) would turn the pc so I got a new psu. After installing it I had the computer running for some hours and then off again. From that moment I'm not able to turn it on anymore. I have the fan of the psu that spins for half a second and than dies. All the lights on the mobo are on. I tried to unplug everything and jut connect psu mobo and ram and still nothing. Is the mobo dead? Could be the CPU?

Mobo asus maximus v gene
Psu was corsair ax750 now is a seasonic m2i
Ram is corsair vengeance 2x4gb
CPU i5

Thanks a lot

Hi, sorry has been awhile.
So since just starting the pc with only psu, CPU and mobo didn't work (tried with or without CPU fan on and I did the psu test with the paperclip and it works) I bought a new mobo and a new CPU (lga 1150 this time, before I had 1155) but is the same story. Turns on for a split of a second and then off. I checked again all the cables and with new ram sticks. What's going on?

I think I had this same issue with my Mobo. Get a case fan. Plug it into CPU fan header. Plug the corsair cooler into any fan header. make sure all cables are plugged in correctly. plug the corsair cooler into the Molex so it can pump. Hdd is in, GPU is in and plugged in and try to boot.

It's a new psu but I did the test with paper clip and a fan (and with corsair pump aswell)and it works. It's just weird that I have the same problems with 2 mobo and 2 CPUs. Can't be casual. My be a problem with the 20pins connector? Even if with the paper clip works?
