I have an FX8350 CPU and currently using F3-16000CL9D-8GB Ripjaws which have the option via XMP to run over 2000Mhz. Looking at the G.SKILL Sniper Series F3-2400C11D-16GSR kit http:// Figure if I'm going to bother upgrading to 16GB and with a $6-10 price difference between 1600 and 2400 might as well go for 2400 speed. Just need to know if they'll run on this motherboard. Thanks.

Solution
I'd give it a try, the big thing may be the CPU can't handle 2400 (will prob require an OC), but it may well be able to run them at 2133 if not 2400, especially since it's a 2 stick set

Why wouldn't a FX8350 be able to handle 2400 without OC? Is it that outdated? Thanks. I'm probably going to try 2133 as my 1600 ram already OC to just above 2000 via the D.O.C.P. profile setting. Just might need to find out NB settings, voltage and such to be sure it runs at that speed. Unless you think it's going down a rabbit hole. :)

I have the Black Edition if that means anything. Anyway, ordered the G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB 2133 series off Newegg. http:// Wish me luck. I'm sure G.Skill will work with me if I run into problems.

G.Skill got back to me and said both 2400 and 2133 would run just fine on my system, it would just be a matter of finding the right timings and voltages. Maybe I should have gotten the 2400! :p I'll live with 2133 just fine. Thanks, guys.
