Which is CPU / GPU combo is good for just gaming @ 1680x1050?

like what the question says....

A8-6600k + gtx 960

or

i5-4460 + r9 270x

can't have both i5-4460 + gtx 960 and please don't suggest save some more cash.
so which is which?, im just gaming on 1680x1050 resolution.

Games like
Crysis 3, Dota2, Watch dogs, dragon age inquisition, battlefield 4, planetside 2, some psx and ps2 emulators, and all other upcoming games.

What parts do you have already? What is your budget? The i5 + 270x is all you really need for those resolutions. The GTX960 is a terrible value and pairing it with an A8 is even worse. Consider the R9 280 as a better alternative to the 960. They perform about the same and the 280 is much much cheaper.

i already have the i5-4460 and the 270x. - i was thinking to swap my processor to an a8-6600k+cash then sell my 270x and buy me a new gtx 960.

what you think? should i just keep the 4460 and 270x?.

also planning to downgrade my 20.5 inch dell 1680x1050 to an asus 18.5 inch 1366x768. - i don't like higher resolutions (makes me dizzy)

The A8 is garbage compared to the i5, and the GTX 960 isn't even that much better than the 270X. Keep what you have right now.

If you're using a 1366 by 768 monitor you won't need to upgrade for a while lol
