My OS is already on my HDD, I was wondering if there was anyway I could uninstall it from my HDD and re-install it onto my new SSD. Will there be any problems with the activation key?

Solution
With cloning there are no activation issues because the newly created clone is an exact copy of the original HDD and you are using it in the same computer.
Cloning.

Backup before you do anything. Backup to an external drive.

For cloning (making an exact copy of the entire disk) you need to connect the hard disk to your present computer OR to a different computer and then use a cloning software. There are a few good free cloning software that you can download and run.

There is Acronis (free download from WD's website).

Clonezilla: http://clonezilla.org/

Apricorn (this is what I use): http://www.apricorn.com/products/software/ezgig.html

EaseUS: http://www.easeus.com/backup-software/ (I have used this) - look for the clone option.

After you clone the hard disk, use the newly cloned hard disk in place of the old hard disk.

Make a backup of the new setup.

Oops meant to hit reply, not best solution. But I had a quick question. Would I be able to delete the OS existing on the HDD, after I clone?

Yes you can delete the OS on the HDD after cloning, and then make a complete backup of the new system.

And yes you can 'unselect' the best answer by hitting the unselect button.
