got an HP compaq dx2450 for free and want to hook it up to my HDTV.

It appears to have a PCI express AND a PCI slot. http://imgur.com/a/8ckU0

Will this http://www.amazon.com/XFX-Low-Profile-PCI-Express-HD545XZQH2-HD-545X-ZQH2/dp/B005IUW7YE/ref=lh_ni_t?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

card work with it, or will I have to spend more money on this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814139070

that has worse specs? Or will neither work?

Thanks!

I forgot, I installed windows 7 ultimate on this machine and plan to max out the ram (for a total of 4GB).

any other specs you need, lemme know. I've been having a hell of a time finding any solid info on this and I heard Toms Hardware was the best.

I didn't think VGA could be converted to HDMI because of analog to digital. I tried that with another computer years ago when I first got the TV...

Will the graphics card add memory or take away from system memory? this machine has only 2gb (but will soon have 4GB) and I don't want to have it eat at memory.

Thanks Jim
