Hey everyone!

You guys helped me out a while back so I figured this is the right place to get some more advice. I only recently found out that my CPU is holding me back in that I cannot meet the minimum requirements for games I wish to play (Namely GTA V), so I was hoping I could get some help as to what CPU I should upgrade to. I'm currently using the M4N68T as my motherboard and would prefer not to upgrade if at all possible.

Thanks

That processor is below the minimum requirement for GTA V, so if you REALLY want to upgrade now, your only options are a Phenom II X6 1090T or an Athlon II X4 650. Here's the processor compatibility list for your motherboard; http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M4N68T/HelpDesk_CPU/.

Like I said, if you can wait, then you should. Yes, you'll need a new motherboard, but you'll have to go down that road soon enough anyway.

Also, if you wanted to, you could upgrade the motherboard to AM3+ and expand your options from there. It'll cost more money, but it gives you a few more options processor wise and should increase your RAM speed as well. I do agree that you should wait for the new processors and chipsets to come out, but if you can't wait, go with the Phenom II X6 series. High power draw, but it should do what you want it to do game wise.

Do you think I would still be able to run it below the requirements? I know it might sound like a stupid question but all of my other components are above the recommended requirements.
