I have 2x GTX 660 Ti SLI, should I upgrade to a GTX 970 or 980

I currently have 2x GTX 660 Ti in SLI. Should I upgrade to a GTX 970 or a GTX 980? Or should I even upgrade? I wanna be able to run Battlefield Hard line and GTA V better.

I wouldn't bother upgrading unless your unhappy with the performance of you SLI setup or want to improve graphics/FPS.

If you can handle games just fine then it isn't worth it. But a newer GTX 970 will get you further in life. But again, if it aint broke, don't fix it.

A 980 will perform better, a 970 will perform similarly (both will get better power savings). If there's no issue with the cards, stick with them until the 2 GB of memory gets too small, or you feel like getting a 980 Ti in September.

unless your looking to lower power consumption you may as well wait till nvidia release the ti versions of there latest cards.

I wouldn't know how much of an increase your going to get from your current setup but you can use Toms review as a rough estimate with BF4 and see if it would be worth the upgrade.

Personally though if I had to choose between the two to upgrade i'd go with the GTX 970 for price/performance.

if you wanna have a high texture settings, you will have to sacrifice other options like population variety, but that will make all people looks the same in the street..... , or sacrifice other FX options which will make the game less stunning...

still finding the best options to strike the best balance... I am considering buy two 970s or wait until 1000 series,,, still thinking ... 2GB Vram is a mess nowadays.. and I can foresee that 4GB will not be enough next year

Yea, I am gonna wait until the Pesca series next year. I am just gonna get a Maximus V Formula and another 660 Ti to have 3 way SLI. Thanks everyone.
