Hi,
I am in the market for a new motherboard and new CPU as my current setup seem to limit me for doing some things.
I am saving up for a i7 5930k CPU and obviously a X99 motherboard, now what I have read on the inter webs the Asus X99 series of motherboards seem to be a horror, reading stuff from CPU and mobo burned due to XMP profiles changed and the motherboard not picking up the RAM, can't boot into windows etc.
Originally I wanted to go for the Asus X99 - A motherboard but even this one seem to have problems, I don't need fancy things like bluetooth and fast wifi, I am only going to SLI in the future, not tri SLI or quad SLI but after reading all those problems, it got me thinking, will I struggle getting the motherboard to work as it should? Will it be worth the struggle or should I try for something else?
I decided let me ask the community of Tom's hardware and hear if anyone actually has a better option then Asus, maybe Asrock is the way to go? Price is between $300 - $400
