Which motherboard should I buy for an Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor

Ok so I am stuck between these two motherboards.

- Gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING 7 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
or
-Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

I've been doing research on both of these motherboards but i need some first hand or very familiar experience with them. I am building my computer for audio/visual engineering and producing and also some gaming when I get free time.

Asus uses more power to give more performance to the CPU
Gigabyte don't do that
Both are great motherboards but I like Asus motherboards overclocking capabilities more
But if power saving is an issue go Gigabyte
