For 4k gaming will the r9 295x2 crossfire have better performance than the titan x ski or gtx 980 ski
Could u also give a link to a website that has benchmarks for these

R9 295x2 CF is technically R9 290X 4-way CF, which has very poor performance increase. So i wouldn't recommend that. For your question, Titan X SLI would be the right answer.

But, i found a very interesting benchmark on the R9 290X 8GB CF vs Titan X SLI vs GTX 980 SLI. The R9 290X 8GB had an extraordinary result:

This is a no brainer....Titan X sli because then you have 24 gb of vram...FTW

295x2 for 4K. Beats them all for the cheapest.

If you want ultra settings for new games at 4k at all times, none of them can beat Titan X. GTA V seems to use up to 6.8GB of VRAM at those settings, it could possibly go higher, I'll have to play more and record it's process. I'm not saying every new game will use this much, but I'm 99.9% sure that new games from now on will definitely use more than 4GB.

290X 8GB Quadfire seems like the most cost effective option, and with the advent of DX12 you'll 32GB of total VRAM on supported games.

God knows how hot you'll case would be tough.
