So I've looked at multiple gaming headsets around/under the $100 range such as the Razer Kraken Pro, Steelseries Siberia V3, Logitech G430s, etc. I want to find the best headset for sound quality and preferably leather earcups (for noise cancelling). I've already looked at the Hyperx Cloud and I'm not that intense. That and it doesn't have a gaming headset look to it. I'm really leaning on the V3s, but maybe there is something out there that I haven't seen yet.

Here is a list of the best headsets I recommend around $100:

Steelseries Siberia V3 Prism (a bit over your budget) - http://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Siberia-Prism-Gaming-Headset-Cool/dp/B00O07QAJE/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1428966237&sr=8-3&keywords=steelseries+siberia+v3

Sennheiser PC 350 SE (discontinued but super high quality and best Sennheiser in range) - http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-350-Performance-Discontinued-Manufacturer/dp/B008O510Y8/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1428966329&sr=1-1&keywords=sennheiser+pc

Corsair H2100 (always a great option) - http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Gaming-Wireless-Headset-CA-9011127-NA/dp/B00N803C7W/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1428966449&sr=1-1&keywords=corsair+h2100

Creative EVO ZX (great portable headset) - http://www.amazon.com/Sound-Blaster-EVO-Wireless-Headset/dp/B00D34A1G8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1428966595&sr=8-1&keywords=creative+headset+zx

From my experience Logitech and Razer make ok headsets, both headsets had bad sound quality and the Logitech build quality was bad. I highly recommend going with a modmic+headphone setup for the best quality overall (especially since headset mics are not very good) and for better sound quality, if interested just ask. I myself use this kind of setup (Audio Technica ATH-M40x and the Blue Snowball)

Hope this helps!

I have considered using a pair of Sennheisers along with a mod mic, however I sometimes travel to other places for LAN parties with friends and bringing both will be difficult. I've seen some video reviews of the Siberia V3 and the mic isn't studio quality, but its good enough so I can easily understand what the person is saying with a slight microphone boost.
