I have $175 i need some new hardware. I was thinking about getting a Core 2 Quad Q6600 for $20 on eBay and a cheap lga 775 board and maybe a GTX 550 or GTX 660 but i don't know what parts work well with each other(bottleneck wise). So i was asking the community what 3 parts(CPU,GPU, and Motherboard) will work best with each other for roughly $175.Yes i do have DDR2-1066 Memory so thats not needed and i have a decent enough power supply.

P.S. The parts can come from eBay considering that eBay has some of the cheaper prices but whatever works will be fine

That's eight year old tech. You would be seriously better off getting an B75 (1155 socket ) motherboard, a Pentium G2130 and 4gb of DDr3 1333. Nearly the same price as well. A Q6600 just can't compete with the new sandy/ ivy bridge architecture. One of my daughters has the rig you are thinking of. The other has a new i3 Haswell. There is no comparison.

i personally do not give advice on any eBay puchases...all purchases are buyer beware...that cpu was overclocked to the sky and is not working...the mobo is missing transistors....and the gpu was overclocked and burned out...save up more money before doing this
