hp deskjet 5740 driver - needed

I have a new/refurb laptop (win 7 64 bit) and am trying to install my old old old deskjet 5740. Now I have used this printer on my desktop - same OS, and I remember having to go to a 3rd party site for the driver, but don't remember where I got it. HP is no help. My desktop is in storage and unavailable. I cannot find a driver on the internet from a reliable source. Windows cannot find a driver for it. Where can I find a driver? Thanks

It was hard finding one for Win 7, but here you go; http://www.hpdriver.net/hp-deskjet-5740-driver/

If you don't have further questions and it works fine then remember to select a solution. :)

I watched this post for awhile and go no answers - so haven't been back for awhile . . .

Yeah - No . . it's not . . I've tried multiple times via multiple install options and win 7 can't find a driver . . It tries . . it goes looking . . then comes back with nothing and no solutions . .
