Personally I believe you will experience trouble playing the game because of your processor. To make sure you can check out ( canyourunit.com ) to give you an idea if you will be able to run the game or not.

No it wouldn't do any harm ( as far as I know ) essentially it will bog down the game and you will experience low FPS and stuttering. This will ruin the game experience. What could happen if you were to "bottleneck" is your CPU will run 100% either for a few seconds or for a longer period of time. When this happens the game will stutter and wait for the CPU to catch up.
