Can I use DDR3 RAM with an Intel E2210 or E6700 CPU?

I have this board that has both DDR2 and DDR3 RAM slots.

I understand that the memory controller is not on the CPU like modern processors, but is on the motherboard. So... Can I use DDR3 RAM with both of these old processors?

I believe that you can with the e6700, however the e2210 is not on that motherboard's list of supported processors. http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/G41C-GS/?cat=CPU

I noticed that too. But I'm taking a chance anyway since 1) the E2210 is Wolfdale and all the other Wolfdale are supported.
And 2) there is only one BIOS for that board, so it must be the latest. Keep your fingers crossed...

Thanks. I only have 2 x 2 GB DDR3 available at the moment, and it is 1600 MHZ. I know it won't run at 1600 MHZ, but it is better than buying new slower stuff.
