MAXIMUS VII HERO bios compatibility with i5 4690k

I am wanting to build a pc with the MAXIMUS VII HERO mobo and the i5 4690k CPU. I have read that it can come with a older bios that is not compatible with this CPU. Is Asus still selling this mobo with the older, incompatible bios; or are all the ones sold today compatible with this CPU?

The new BIOS was added to the Z87 boards a few short months before the new CPU's were on the market. But the MB you are talking about is a X97 board made for the new CPU's. The X97 boards have been for sale for a long while now so that most all will have the a newer BIOS version than the one when they were first for sale if one is available. Make sure you purchase from a retailer that has a good turnover and you should be OK.
