Hello,
I am looking to get a Samsung SSD in the very near future because I am getting sick of boot times and loading screens. Should have just gotten one in the first place, but did not. I know Samsung includes software to transfer over data, but I do not want everything transferred over, just my OS (windows 8.1) and my games. Hopefully it is an easy solution. Also, on a side note, when downloading games how do I choose to download it to the SSD? Thanks for any help!

Don't know if you can transfer only OS without other files, if anything you can probably just do it manually, not too much work. But games are easy, if you're using steam it will install games by default to the drive that you installed steam on. If you're just installing of a disk it will ask you where you want to put your game. Just choose SSD instead of the hard drive.

It wouldn't be a big deal I guess, just a waste of space transferring music and whatnot to the ssd. Would I just go to my bios and change boot priority and then I would be all set?

Exactly what I needed to hear! i assume there's multiple files for the OS so that will be fun to figure out, but otherwise perfect! I assume the same goes for downloading any other file? Just select the HDD instead of HDD if I wish?

The migration software takes care of the OS migration by itself, no need to figure that out. You can just custom deselect the directories containing your data/media files (shouldn't be too many I hope). Not sure of your last question, but the migration simply has an origin (HDD) and destination (SSD) selection, then you can customize what does or does not get migrated.

EDIT: I think I get the last question now (I knew the typo was there)...yes, when installing new games, just select the SSD or HDD (and directory) as the destination.

Pretty much.
Just make sure that you have your OS installed on that drive. Otherwise your PC will freak out :)
