Building or buying a pc/laptop for music production

Hello, I am 14 years old and am looking to get into music production. I want to get a pc or a laptop but I don't know which one to get. I would prefer a laptop but if a desktop is best then please tell me. My budget is 900 aud. I am going to be using fl studio if that helps. Tell me if you need any more information. Thanks

If you need portability, buy a laptop.
If you don't, then you can usually buy more for your money in a desktop.
You can also buy a discrete sound card if that is important to you.
If nothing else, you can buy a monitor larger than 17".

I like the Lenovo Thinkpad.
They have the best keyboards.

If budget is a problem, I suggest buying a older refurbished thinkpad with windows 7 and minimum hard drive and ram.
Then, replace the hard drive with a ssd and add ram.
