Hi guys, i've been having this weird issue lately when playing pc games. About once every day or 2 days, my computer will freeze for like, 1 second while making a "motor" noise from the speakers. During this instance, i can't move my mouse cursor or anything (total freeze). started ever since i upgraded my CPU, mobo, and ram. while 1 second every day or so may seem negligible or not a big a deal, it still concerns me given that i shelled out money from my own savings to buy my pc, and i wouldn't want to be using defective parts. it's also kinda annoying. after the 1 second freeze, everything returns to normal, and i can continue playing my game. Any insight would be greatly appreciated :)

Specs:
H97 pro gamer
Hyperx Fury (not sure if 1600 or 1800)
i5 4690 @ 3.5ghz
Nvidia GTX 750
standard and pretty old HDD

It may be your HDD not being able to write data from your game quick enough. What game are you playing: single player or multiplayer? If its multiplayer it may be something else and if its single player its probably your HDD not being able to write down the info the game is sending its way quick enough causing stutter. It could also be your CPU not being able to cope with the game. What you need to do is go and add an FPS counter when you are playing. If theres a sudden drop in FPS, its your GPU.

I mostly play online games like dota 2 and final fantasy 14. It happens on both these games. my rig is above the recommended system requirements for both games except for the GPU requirement for final fantasy 1, but the difference between what i have and the recommended isn't that far at all (recommends gtx 660). it's the kind of stutter that (i think) isn't FPS related, as it totally freezes my computer while making this weird motor/buzzing noise that i never hear at other times.

I had this problem with CS:GO. What I did is right click the game's name in my library and go to properties, then local files and then select verify integrity of game cache. Let it take however long it needs, I closed it after five minutes thinking it wasn't doing anything but it was. If that doesn't work, try uninstalling the games with the problem and reinstalling. Also, make sure your drivers are up to date. Go to GeForce Experience app and download the latest drivers or go to the NVIDIA website and download them.

This has happened to me twice, the first time I just needed to verify game cache but the next I had to do the uninstall.

Hope this helps! I have the 750ti so what I did may also help yours as yours is a 750. Good luck.
