Hey Forum,

I'm looking to throw an HD 6870 in with a Seasonic S12-430 for a low powered gaming PC for my Girlfriend from parts I had laying around. I'm just not sure whether the GPU and PSU will work with each other and was hoping I could get some advice.

The rest of the system is as follows:
Intel G2030 (Stock fan)
Gigabyte - GA-H77M-D3H
16GB DDR3
1 TB WD Blue
With two extra fans

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :)

It should be fine. The HD6870 can't draw any more than 225W (75W for the slot + 2x75W for the PCIe power cables); in actual use it draws much less. That leaves plenty of power for a 54W CPU and whatever fans and drives you have.
