Hey guys,
I'm looking for some advice on my build. I'm upgrading to a 144hz G-sync monitor for competitive CS:GO and wanted a nice GPU that will have G-Sync support but also allow me to get the most out of GTA-V as well. But I built my computer in 2011 and had some worries about bottle-necking due to outdated CPU/Motherboard.
Current Specs:
i5 2500k (unlocked)
ASUS P8P67
Gtx 560 ti
Ripjaws X Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3 1600
700W PSU
Windows 8
My plan is to upgrade my GPU to an MSI GTX 970. My motherboard has no PCI-E 3.0 slot, only 2.0. I have not overclocked my CPU but plan to do so to about 4.5 GHz or something similar depending on what I can reach.
Is it worth upgrading my graphics card? Will I experience significant bottle-necking?
Thanks guys!
