I recently purchased a HP 355 G2 laptop and yesterday I installed the Windows XP Professional SP3 virtual machine. It seemed to be ok. Until I installed all of the Recommended Updates. I did it in several batches. I also installed most of the optional updates.
After the final reboot I attempted to open IE so I could look up some information. However, now IE crashes on start up.
Does the Windows 7 Professional Virtual Machine no longer support Win XP now that XP has reached the end of it's support? Any other ideas what might be causing the problem?
