I assembled my pc about 2 years ago and about a year back my GPU gave up while playing FIFA. I got it replaced but after a few days of use weird lines started appearing on my screen and after a few seconds there was no output on the screen.

I researched a lot and replaced my old card with a new evga nvidia gtx 750 ti. Again after a few days of use whenever my computer was under load some weird random lines and colors started appearing on my screen and then it crashed to a black screen. This still happens. I have to keep the computer off for a few minutes before using it again. It usually happens while gaming or sometimes when the computer is under load.

My system:-
Kingston 4 GB ram
Evga gtx 750ti (I had a power colour HD 6770 before)
Fx 8320 not over clocked
Gigabyte mobo(I don't know which one)
Cooler Master 500w PSU
1 tb HDD
Ubuntu 14 and windows 7 dual boot

Thanks..But the problem is that I dont have any spare psu with me. By the way could it be that the pci slot has gone bad or something ?

its unlikely to be the pci slot though if your board has more than one wont hurt to try

if you cant borrow a psu from some one to test with afraid you are stuck with buying a new psu

you can wait for other peoples opinions--its only my opinion that its your psu--cant say 100% that it is--but i would be surprised if it isnt

I am having the same/similar problem, I am pretty certain it is your GPU crashing, the reasoning is unknown to me. I don't think it is the PSU or it wouldn't just be playing FIFA/Game it would be more constant, doing just about anything would crash the PC.

Well I have fixed it now !! The problem was the motherboard... I bought a new one and it has been working perfectly fine now. It's almost been about 3 weeks. No more crashes or anything.
