Fx 8350 or Fx 6300?

Hello

After watching some Gaming Pc Build videos on YouTube I wondered if my Fx 8350 8Core 4.0Ghz CPU is overkill for a gaming pc? Should i rather take a fx 6300 6 core at 3.5 Ghz and invest more money on other parts?

GPU : ASUS R9 290 OC 4GB GDDR5
RAM : Crucial Ballistix 1600Mhz 8GB (2x4GB)
Motherboard : GA-990XA-UD3 AM3+ socket
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB
PSU : Corsair CX750

i would buy a 860K instead of the 6300 any day of the week

IMO it is either an Overclocked FX or a 4460

and if budget allows a 4690K

cheapest 8 threads quadcore from intel is the E3 xeon

after that comes the I7 CPUs the only difference is the xeon dosnt have an Integrated GPU to reduce cost and it is also a locked CPU

quad core 4 threads 4460 4690K

AMD 860K budget buy imo both need to be Overclocked to support high end GPUs so IMO stick to intel if u have the money

quad core 8 threads E3 xeon costs as much as the 4690K but it is a LOCKED CPU and it is totally fine for gaming if you want to stream/game

if u want an unlocked quad core 8 threads there is the 4790K at 300 something usd
