i had my ssd take permissions for my old hard drive and my old ssd died. i have problems opening any and almost every file and folder in my old, (now C: ) hard drive. i've tried adding the admin option on cmd. which didn't help. apps like google, steam, firefox and even the search option within windows require me to right-click and run as admin. games won't work because i can't get permissions to run the games and their folders. i was wondering if there was a way to get permissions from/for an entire hard drive, or rather restore those permissions. i've tried to use a system restore point but i'm getting the error that either an app or an antivirus is keeping me from restoring. i've installed windows on a second ssd. and i could change properties from this hdd if i use my ssd. essentially, i would like to know if i could restore the permissions on my entire hdd which is now my C: drive. i'm the owner of my hard drives. i don't need help with passwords or taking a harddrive that is not my own. i'm just trying to revert my permissions for my entire hdd, which i can access. i hope this can be resolved. thank you.

yea a clean install would just make things a lot harder since i have no backup device at the time. what i'm trying to do is restore my permissions to my original hardddrive from my ssd. my ssd had all the permissions and now that it died, i can't get anything to open up on my harddrive (HDD) without right-clicking and running as administrator, or not running the program at all. i want to restore my permissions to my harddrive. thank you.
