Nvidia Shadowplay FPS decrease?

Hello ive been using fraps until someone mentioned shadowplay. Fraps decreases your fps by quite a bit I mean from 90 fps to 50 sometimes. In some cases its really bad and in some other cases it isn't so bad. Fraps usually decreases your fps by 20-50%.
I was wondering how much impact shadowplay did to your performance. I currently use a temporary gtx 750 and get around 60fps high settings on battlefield 4. I wanted to know, what shadowplay will record it at. Can it record it at about 50-60fps or will there be a significant drop. I also wanted to know how to lock the frame rate on shadowplay. Thanks for any advice.

By all accounts there's a very minimal performance hit for shadowplay, maybe 5-10% at most. It uses video encode hardware on the video card itself (features which are usually sitting idle when you're gaming) to do the heavy lifting - the actual video encode process, so the impact on the rest of the system is extremely minimal.

I've heard from a few people that it's a bit more limited than dedicated software, perhaps more for Twitch streaming and the like where some have elaborate overlays, subscriber updates, chat windows and music titles, etc. I'm not sure they've implemented those sorts of features yet. But in terms of the back-end video processing it's a big step forward as it takes the vast majority of the load off your CPU and...
