I am upgrading my dell XPS 630i (630i not 630)... and I am so close to buying all of my parts however I am stuck on the motherboard. After doing all of the research I can I think I have found a motherboard that would work but I am not entirely sure.

Anyway, I am keeping most of the computer the way it is except for the; CPU, graphics card, motherboard, RAM and operating system. I am upgrading to Intel Core i5 4690k (computer originally had Intel Core 2 Quad). Upgrading my Graphics card to an EVGA GTX 960. Getting rid of the 4GB RAM that it already has, and adding two sticks of 8GB. And of course changing to either windows 7 or 8, it is currently using windows vista.

After searching through the web I begun to wonder if this upgrade is even possible in the first place. I don't see why it's not, but I don't want to buy a bunch of pieces only to have it not work. Could someone please let me know if this is possible.

If it is, then the motherboard I was thinking of is a MSI Z97 Gaming 3: http://au.msi.com/product/mb/Z97-GAMING-3.html#hero-overview

I don't know for sure if this would work, that's why I'm making this forum post. I need to know if this is the right one, and if it isn't, then what is. (I'm hoping to spend between $100 and $200 on it)

Thank you!

The motherboard will work as long as it's LGA 1150 socket. The RAM will work as long as it's DDR3 desktop RAM. The graphics card will be just fine for that motherboard. No issues whatsoever.
