Cpu fan error! Could use some help!

So I recently completed a pc build (well close to it anyway) and I am trying to install Windows 7. However, my motherboard never initiates the boot to the Windows install. Instead, it displays some general information, the cpu fan error, and then prompts me to press f1 for set up.

Now I've already configured my bios for a uefi boot (I formatted a flash drive suitable for a uefi boot), set secure boot to other os (can't disable for some reason) and csm enabled with uefi or legacy recognition. The flash drive is selected for the first priority, then my SSD.

I'm using an Asus maximus vii hero and an swiftech h240x liquid cooler. I have the pwm splitter connected to the cpu_fan and the pump inserted into the first header on the splitter (this was all taken from the instructions on the cooler). I have almost all of my case fans attached to this splitter except for one (which is attached to one of the fan headers on the mobo). All fans are operating properly and my mobo recognizes the one fan that is connected directly to it.

The bios is updated and all fans (except for one) are pwm fans.

I was considering disabling "wait for f1 press on error", but I'm not sure if that's the best option or if it will prove to be detrimental in the future.

Sorry for the long winded post, but I could really use some help solving this issue. All help is appreciated. Thanks.

Check the bios hardware monitor section. Check that the fan speed is what you expect(based on the specs of that fan ie 400-1200 rpm/ect)

In the same section you can normally set the low speed limit and that is what gives you the warning. So if the fan is spinning at 400 set the limit to like 300-350. Alternatively, use the pump as the fan being read since it tends to spin faster than a quiet fan.

So you have all of these fans attached to your CPU fan plug on the mobo except for one if i'm reading everything right? If I am reading this right that is. Try removing the splitter and attach just the liquid cooler to cpu fan plug and move the splitter to a case fan port and connect the rest of the fans that way.
